Practice History
Fitz.Gerald & Associates Architects was established in late 1997 as Fitz.Gerald Finlay-Mulligan by Orla Fitz.Gerald and Peter Finlay-Mulligan. In 2003 a five year strategic plan was developed for the practice by its Directors. The implementation of this plan saw Peter Finlay-Mulligan de-vest himself of his interest in the company to practice as a sole trader. Having developed a strong client base and a reputation for delivering projects on time and to budget, the Directors were aware of the opportunity for the practice to grow. In July 2003, now trading as Fitz.Gerald & Associates Architects, the practice relocated from Blackrock, Co. Dublin to Dublin City Centre – a move calculated to raise the company’s profile and support growth. Since relocating manpower has more than doubled, growth which is also of course reflected in the company’s turnover. Clients with whom the practice had long standing relationships have remained loyal to the practice with repeat commissions and work gained through personal recommendation from existing clients accounting for a significant proportion of the practice’s new business.
